Summary and winning condition
Winning condition
- In this two-player game, players win by using creatures to collecting gems from levels or stealing them from enemy creatures during combats. The game ends when one player wins by securing 45 gems in their treasury at any point of the game.
Summary
- The game begins a the draft phase, where players constitute a squad of 12 creatures to fill their reserve. These creatures are the only ones thffe player can use throughout the game, and a destroyed creature is permanently lost and placed in a discard pile. Players must strategically draft their creatures to be able to collecting enough gems as well as destroy the enemy creatures, and consider how the drafted creatures synergise together or counter the enemy’s draft.
- Next, the placement phase starts. Eachf player has their own field, consisting of three rows on one side of the level, where they place their creatures on specific spots. Once positioned on a spot, creatures are arranged relative to each other and are at specific movement and range distances from one another. Players take turns placing creatures from their reserve into their field, starting from the spot closest to the level. When both players are done placing creatures into their field, any creatures in their recovery pile is sent back into their reserve.
- The game then goes onto the strategic phase, where players take turns to perform strategic actions, starting at 2 per turn. To perform more strategic actions, players can have their creatures generate additional actions; at the cost of having these creatures be unable to perform strategic actions themselves and being more vulnerable to attacks from other creatures during this turn.
- Possible strategic actions include harvesting gems from the level, targeting other creatures, moving creatures on the field to reposition them within harvesting or targeting range, calling back-up from the reserve and withdrawing creatures to the recovery pile which secures collected gems by transferring them to the player’s treasury.
- When a player targets an enemy creature during the strategic phase, the combat phase begins, allowing players to decide if additional creatures will join the combat. Then, players then take turns having their creatures attack until one player has no creatures left in combat, either due to destruction or fleeing, which allows the enemy to steal the destroyed or fleeing creature’s collected gems.
- The strategic phase ends when one of two conditions is met: either one player has no creatures left on their field, or the level has no gems left to collect. When the strategic phase concludes, the next level phase begins. Players can retire some unwanted creatures from their field and place them into their recovery pile. Then, a new placement phase starts.
- The game continues with the placement phase, strategic phase, and next level phase repeating in a loop until one player wins the game.

Detailed Gameflow
(1) Draft phase
First, shuffle the level cards separately, forming a face-down deck. Pick the first level card and place it face up in the center of the field. This will be the starting level. Place another level card face up below the first one, which will be the next level. Each level contains 30 gems for the players to collect.
Then, both players agree on one way to draft creatures: either the (A) random draft or the (B) premade deck.
(A) Random Draft
- Shuffle 2 decks with all creature cards, 1 per player, forming two face-down deck.
- Roll a die to determine which player will pick first. The player with the highest roll wins and begins the draft (player A), the other player will be Player B.
- Each player reveal the top 20 cards from their creature decks and display them face up on their side of the level.
