This is a brief overview of how the game mechanics work. For the complete rules and detailed information about each phase and game component, check the complete rulebook.

<aside> ❗

You win by securing 45 gems into your treasury at any moment of the game.

You play using creatures. The game has multiple levels. In each level, you place your creatures in a row on your field. Each level has 30 gems. Once players collect all the gems in a level, the game advances to a new level with another 30 gems to collect.

Creatures on the field can harvest gems from the level or steal gems collected by enemy creatures through combat.

When a creature is destroyed after taking too much damage, it is permanently discarded from the game, and all its collected gems are recovered by the creature that destroyed it.

When a creature withdraws from the field, all its collected gems are sent to its owner’s treasury. This is the only way for players to secure gems in their treasury and win the game.

Creatures

All creatures have statistics (values) that define their strengths and weaknesses:

All creatures also possess at least one skill, the text in the white field. The skills definite how the creature is best used and in which team of creatures it can perform best.

The skill’s effects are only triggered when the context and scope are fulfilled (as indicated by the text in the first line, which is in a larger font).

The context indicates which game action can trigger the skill, and the scope indicates who can trigger it (if none mentioned between brackets, by the creature bearing the skill).

In the example below, "When attacking" is the context; "(team)" is the scope. The creature’s skill will be triggered if any allied creature (including the creature itself) attacks during a combat. Then, the attack will deal additional damage equal to the scoped creature’s (= the creature that triggered the skill, which means the allied creature that launched the attack in this case) base yield.

Game phases

Before starting a game, players creature a deck of 16 creatures that they intend to use to play. New players can use a premade deck to learn how to play during their first game(s).

(1) Draft phase

The game’s first and second levels will be shown to all players. Each level has some specificity which will affect all creatures in the game. In a game, only 12 creatures can be used by players. Players will therefore alternatively ban creatures from the other player’s deck until both of them have 12 remaining creatures in their hands, called the reserve.

(2) Placement phase
